The Kospah are ceremonial earrings worn by members of the Centaurian race. They are exchanged at the Time of Joining to complete the Circle of Life. The custom is similar to how wedding bands are exchanged in Christian weddings on Earth. Yondu Udonta wore a set of Kospah, but later questioned why he did so, as he did not believe it was possible to repopulate his beleaguered planet. [1]
