Knight Rider is an American live-action television series of the action and science fiction genres. It aired for four seasons from 1982 to 1986 totaling ninety episodes. Season three of Knight Rider aired from September 30th, 1984 to May 5th, 1985 with twenty-two individual episodes, one of which were broken up into two-part specials that aired on the same evening.
Series regulars David Hasselhoff and Edward Mulhare returned to the show in the respective roles of Michael Knight and Devon Miles. Providing the ever-familiar voice of K.I.T.T. was once again William Daniels, again remaining uncredited for his participation in the series per the request of the actor. Season three waved goodbye to Rebecca Holden, who played K.I.T.T. technician April Curtis in season two, and welcomed back Patricia McPherson, whom the studio convinced to reprise the role of Bonnie Barstow from season one.
A notable return appearance in the series is that of K.A.R.R., which is generally regarded as K.I.T.T.'s evil twin. Voiced this time by the late legendary voice actor Paul Frees, K.A.R.R. Knight Automated Roving Robot finally returned for what appeared to be the last time in the season three episode, K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R., but this too proved to be only transitory as he would again resurface in the 2008 Knight Rider short-lived revival series.
