Klaus Kristin is a fictional Yeti and a minor recurring antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Batman #337 in July, 1981. He made a second and final appearance in Detective Comics #522 in January, 1983.
Biography[]

Klaus Kristin was the hybrid child of a human woman and a Yeti. For this reason, he was born an albino with the ability to transform into an ice creature. Kristin arrived to Gotham City during winter and he started a crime spree to increase his much needed wealth to travel around the world, looking for cold places. This caused him to ran afoul of Batman, who tracked Kristin to Austria, where the Snowmam met his apparent demise. [1]
Kristin survived, but he realized that his condition was killing him and he decided to join his father in the snowy Himalayas, where he eventually died. [2]
