Klatooinians are a fictional alien race featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. They first appeared in the 1983 feature film Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
Description[]
Klatooinians are green or grey-skinned sentient beings that hail from the planet Klatooine. Klatooinians have been known to operate on various Outer Rim planets such as Tatooine and Sorgan. Some Klatooinians have been known to work as bodyguards, musicians, henchmen and raiders.
In 4 ABY, a few Klatoonians were working in the employ of gangster Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. Two members of this race, Barada and Kithaba worked as guards on the Bantha-II cargo skiffs and died during the Skirmish at Carkoon. Another member of this race, Umpass-stay was a drummer and a bodyguard for Max Rebo. The Max Rebo Band was known to perform at Jabba's Palace.
A few years after the Battle of Endor, a horde of Klatooinians were active on the planet Sorgan. They were raiders who attacked human settlements, ravaging and destroying everything in their path. Their forces were supplemented by an appropriated Imperial All Terrain Scout Transport. A mysterious Mandalorian and a former Rebel shock trooper named Cara Dune taught the villagers how to defend themselves and they repulsed the Klatooinian raiders, killing several in the process. [1]
