The Kingdom is a fictional survivor colony featured in The Walking Dead comic book series published by Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. It is one of three major community settlements featured in the region of Virginia near Washington, D.C.; the others being the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and the Hilltop Colony. In the comics, the Kingdom first appeared in issue #108 in March of 2013. The Kingdom also appeared on The Walking Dead television series beginning with the season seven episode, "The Well". The Kingdom was originally led by an aloof yet charismatic man named Ezekiel. Following Ezekiel's death in the comics, the Kingdom was taken over by a man named William.
