Kimiko Miyashiro, better known as "The Female", is a fictional vigilante and one of the main characters featured in The Boys multimedia franchise. She was introduced in The Boys #2 in August, 2006. The character has also been featured on The Boys television series on Amazon Prime where she was played primarily by Karen Fukuhara. Actress Momona Tamada played a younger version of the character in flashback scenes. The TV version of the character was introduced in the fourth episode of season one titled, "The Female of the Species".
Biography[]
Kimiko Miyashiro was born in Japan. Unlike most Supes who are deliberately injected with Compound V during infancy, Kimiko had the misfortune of falling into a vat of it, after crawling into a Vought International laboratory.
As an adult, Kimiko was captured and kept locked inside of a cage. The Compound V in her bloodstream had given her increased physical traits, accelerated healing and a primal urge to kill. She had also become selectively mute due to the traumas of her past.
Kimiko was rescued by The Boys and brought back to their temporary base of operations. One of their member, Frenchie, became instantly enamored with her, referring to her as "Mon coeur". While the others were reluctant to accept her, Frenchie continued to bond with so-called "Female of the Species", and took on the role of a protective sibling.

- Accelerated healing: Kimiko can heal from severe physical injury in a relatively short period of time. For example, she healed herself from a stab wound inflicted by Black Noir in a matter of seconds.
- Superhuman agility: Kimiko has enhanced reflexes and is simply a flurry of madness in a fight.
Skills[]
- Primal instinct: Always on guard. Always on the defense. Kimiko possesses a preternatural urge to kill.
- Unarmed combat: Just stay out of her way. Seriously. Ya like having two arms, two legs, and two eyes? Just stay the f*ck away from her.
Weaknesses[]
- Berserker rage: Kimiko is both literally and figuratively a caged animal. If you even give her side-eye, she'll go for the throat and eat your testicles for breakfast (Well, okay... maybe not that last bit).
- Mute: Kimiko is selectively mute due to the emotional trauma of her past.
