Kim Hines is a fictional psychic and a supporting character featured in the 2017 supernatural horror thriller The Bye Bye Man. She was played by actress Jenna Kanell in the film.
Biography[]
Kim Hines was a psychic and an associate of Sasha, John, and Elliot. She was invited to the house that the other three were renting where she performed a séance. While Sasha and John took the affair somewhat seriously, Elliot mocked their belief in the supernatural. Soon after however, Elliot began to experience bizarre paranormal phenomena, which severely rattled him. This stemmed from an urban legend relating to the Bye Bye Man. By speaking its name, or even thinking about, you become a target of the Bye Bye Man's psychoactive trauma.
Like Elliot. Kim likewise began to suffer from a string of hallucinations. Believing that she had to "cut out the cancer" of the Bye Bye Man in order to survive, she brutally murdered her roommate with a hammer as well as another woman. She intended on murdering Elliot, John, and Sasha as well, before ultimately taking her own life.
Elliot came to Kim's home in a panic, demanding that she must conduct another séance with John, Sasha, and he. He drove her in his car towards their house, but Kim forced him to stop when she hallucinated seeing a family in crisis. She got out of the vehicle, ran towards the hallucination and stopped on the train tracks. She was killed when the train passed and was unable to stop.

- Chronologically, Kim is the ninth character to die in The Bye Bye Man following Rick, Jane, Mister Daizy, Giselle, Anna, Larry Redmon (all of whom died in the 1969 flashback), and the two women in Kim's residence. This does not include the report about the teenager who killed his family in the 1960s, which prompted Larry Redmon's massacre.
