Killer Klowns from Outer Space is an American feature film of the comedy, science fiction and horror genres. It was directed by Stephen Chiodo with a script written by Stephen, Charles and Edward Chiodo. It was produced by Sarlui/Diamant and the Chiodo Bros. and released theatrically in the United States and Canada on May 27th, 1988. As its title suggests, the premise of the film involves an alien race of killer clowns (or klowns), who come to Earth and begin abducting people, entombing them in giant pink cotton candy cocoons. Grant Cramer stars as Mike Tobacco along with Suzanne Snyder as girlfriend Debbie, who must convince police officer Dave Hansen, played by John Allen Nelson that their small town of Crescent Cove has fallen prey to killer klowns from outer space.
