The Kent farm is a fictional residence featured in the Superman multimedia franchise. It first appeared in the 1952-1958 television series Adventures of Superman, but was only seen in the original pilot episode, "Superman on Earth". In terms of DC Comics publishing history, the Kents originally owned a general store, not a farm. It wasn't until the 1978 live-action film Superman: The Movie that the notion of the Kents being farmers was revisited. In 1986, DC rebooted the continuity of Superman in the comics, and the Kents were now firmly established as farmers. The Post-Crisis introduction of the Kent farm in the comics was in Man of Steel #1.

The Kent family farm has remained in the Kent family for several generations. Currently, its sole occupant is Martha Kent, though her son Clark often visits and occasionally spends the night. Several years ago, the super-villain known as Conduit learned of Clark's dual identity as Superman and attacked the Kents in order to get to him. He destroyed the farm forcing Jonathan and Martha Kent to live on the road for several months in a recreational vehicle. (Adventures of Superman 523)
The Kents eventually returned to Smallville and rebuilt their home.

This patch of land, which is several acres in size, is the home of the Kent family, passed down to Jonathan Kent from his father, Hiram Kent. It includes the main residence as well as an adjacent barn. Jonathan and his wife Martha lived in the main house along with their adoptive son, Clark. When Clark became a teenager, he took to staying in a loft in the barn. When Lois Lane came to town, she did not have any place to stay, so Martha and Jonathan (reluctantly) allowed her to live at the house. One other notable resident is Shelby - who is a rescue dog with a rather unique history himself.
