Kendra Young is a fictional vampire hunter and a recurring character featured in the WB Network television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Played by actress Bianca Lawson, she first appeared in the season two episode, "What's My Line? (Part 1)". She made three appearances in the series in total culminating with the death of the character in "Becoming (Part 1)".
Biography[]
When Buffy Summers was briefly killed after an altercation with The Master, the mystical legacy of the Slayer awakened Kendra to take her place. After being trained by her Watcher, she eventually came to Sunnydale, California where she met Buffy, and her friends. She teamed up with them in their ongoing fight against a group of hedonistic vampires known as The Whirlwind. She was ultimately killed by Drusilla, who hypnotized her then slit her throat. Upon Kendra's death, the legacy of the Slayer then fell to Faith Lehane.
