Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl, is a fictional super-hero character featured in the DC Television Universe. She is based on the character of Kendra Saunders, who was a member of the Justice Society of America and the partner of Hawkman, who first appeared in JSA Secret Files & Origins #1 in August, 1999. The television version of Kendra first appeared in the "Fast Enough" episode of The Flash in 2015. She made a guest-appearance in the crossover episode of Arrow titled "Legends of Yesterday", before becoming part of the regular ensemble cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. She was one of the main characters in season one of the show and was played by actress Ciara Renée.
