Katie is a fictional corporate executive and murder victim featured in the Friday the 13th film series. Played by actress Ann Ryerson, she appeared in the sixth installment of the series, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.

Biography[]

Katie worked at a corporate firm in or around the Forest Green County area of New Jersey. Members of her firm engaged in a paintball competition as part of a team building event in Crystal Lake Township. Katie's colleagues and rivals included male co-workers Burt, Larry, Stan, and Roy. Stan took the competition very seriously, while Larry was a bit more easy-going. Burt however, was a raging misogynist, who didn't believe that women should have been allowed to even participate in these events. Katie proved to be more skilled and resourceful than her male counterparts and secured a victory over each one of them; all except for Roy, whom nobody could find because he got himself lost in the woods. Katie's pride-filled victory was short-lived, however. Undead mass murderer Jason Voorhees appeared from out of nowhere and decapitated Katie, Stan, and Larry simultaneously with one swift stroke of his machete.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • The character of Katie was created by director and screenwriter Tom McLoughlin.
  • Katie is the forty-first murder victim of Jason Voorhees in the canonical film series. She is the sixth victim of Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. She is the second female victim and the second character to be decapitated. She is the second character killed with a machete.
  • Although it could be argued that Katie, Larry, and Stan all die simultaneously, Jason's swings his machete from the right while facing them, which first strikes Larry, then Katie, then Stan.
