Kamanev is a fictional ambassador, and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He appeared in X-Men, Volume 2 #2 in November, 1991.
Biography[]
Kamanev was an ambassador from Russia during the period when the country was part of the greater Soviet Union. He collaborated with American and Chinese officials in regards to the Magneto Protocols, after Magneto established a new base of operations on Asteroid M. The protocols involved using non-metallic weaponry, as well as an energy cannon designed to end his threat once and for all. Obviously, this tactic did not yield the results they were hoping for.
