- The tagline for this film is "Blood is thicker than water".
- The Justice League of America was created by writer Gardner Fox, artist Mike Sekowsky, and inkers Bernard Sachs, Joe Giella, and Murphy Anderson. They first appeared in a three-issue story-arc from The Brave and the Bold beginning with "Starro the Conqueror!" in The Brave and the Bold #28 in February-March 1960, before launching off into their own Justice League of America ongoing comic book series in October-November 1960.
- Aquaman was created by writer Mort Weisinger and artist Paul Norris. He first appeared in the seventh story in More Fun Comics #73 in November, 1941 titled "The Submarine Strikes". The original Aquaman was a human who was an Olympic-level swimmer during the Golden Age era. It wasn't until the "Aquaman's Undersea Partner" story from Adventure Comics #229 in October, 1956 that he developed his aquatic Atlantean heritage.
- Justice League: Throne of Atlantis was released on Blu-ray and Region 1 DVD with Ultraviolet digital download on January 27th, 2015. [1]
- This film adapts the "Throne of Atlantis" storyline, which ran through issues #14-17 of Aquaman, Volume 7 and issues #15-17 of Justice League, Volume 2.
- Actors Jay K. Johnson and Michael Rosenbaum both share the same birthday, but in different years. Jay Johnson was born on July 11th, 1949, and Michael Rosenbaum was born in 1972.
