Jurassic Park is a novel of the science fiction and adventure genres. The book was written by author Michael Crichton and originally published in hardcover format by the Alfred A. Knopf publishing house. It was first published on November 20th, 1990. The book was adapted into a major feature film in 1993 called Jurassic Park, which was directed by Steven Spielberg with a script written by David Koepp. The novel spawned a sequel book, The Lost World, which was also loosely adapted into film as The Lost World: Jurassic Park by director Steven Spielberg.
