Julie Gardner is a studio executive for BBC Wales. Under that umbrella, she served as an executive producer on their most popular science fiction television projects, beginning with the 2005 relaunch of Doctor Who. She also headed up the Doctor Who spin-off projects Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. BBC Wales also produced some of the Doctor Who sideline projects such as Doctor Who Confidential, Tardisodes, Torchwood Declassified and the 2009 mini-series Doctor Who Greatest Moments.

Julie's first credited television work was a producer on the 1999 TV series Sunburn. Her first executive producer credit under the BBC Wales banner was on the 2005 TV movie Dad. Julie's first credited recurring work was on all three episodes of the 2005 miniseries Casanova starring legendary film actor Peter O'Toole, Damages and X-Men: First Class star Rose Byrne and future Doctor Who headliner David Tennant.
