Biography[]

Early years[]

Joyce Summer was once married to Hank Summers and raised her daughter Buffy in Los Angeles, California. When Buffy found her calling as a Slayer, she became involved in an incident that culminated in the burning down of the school gymnasium at Hemery High School. As a result, Buffy was kicked out of school. Hank and Joyce divorced soon after this incident, and Buffy and she decided that it was time to get a fresh start in life. Joyce purchased an art gallery in Sunnydale in 1997 and Buffy and she relocated to a new home that same year.
