The Monocle, whose real name is Jonathan Cheval, is a fictional criminal featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He was originally introduced during the Golden Age era as a foe of the original Flash, Jay Garrick, making his first appearance in All-Flash Quarterly #1 in the Summer of 1941. The character was re-introduced shortly thereafter in Flash Comics #64 in April, 1945.
