Josephine "Jojo" Mayfair is a fictional psychic and a supporting character featured on the Mayfair Witches television series on AMC. Played by actress Jen Richards, she first appeared in the third episode of season one, "Second Line".

Biography[]

Jojo Mayfair is a member of the prestigious Mayfair family of New Orleans. She is the daughter of Cortland Mayfair and the granddaughter of Julien Mayfair. She is the half-sister of Rowan Mayfair. Although Jojo is not a designee of the family's witch heritage, she is psychokinetic and experiences precognitive visions. Of all the family members, Jojo was the one who spent the most time with Rowan following the murder of Rowan's mother, Deirdre.

Jojo was one of several Mayfair women who participated in a ritual of transference, aimed at removing Lasher's bond with Rowan and placing it on Tessa Mayfair. ^[1]

The character of Jojo Mayfair was created by director Axelle Carolyn and writer Sarah Cornwell based on concepts developed by author Anne Rice.
Jojo Mayfair is exclusive to the continuity of the Mayfair Witches television series. She does not have a direct counterpart in the Lives of the Mayfair Witches series of novels.
In season one, Jojo was unaware that Cortland had fathered Rowan Mayfair.
Per her relationship to Deirdre Mayfair, neglecting the incest, Jojo is also Rowan's cousin.
