John Wesley Shipp is an American film and television actor born in Norfolk, Virginia on January 22nd, 1955. He is best known for playing Barry Allen, the superhero known as the Flash in the 1990-1991The Flash television series. He later went on to play Mitch Leery on the teen drama series Dawson's Creek. In 2012, John Wesley Shipp played a minor role in season two of MTV's Teen Wolf. He played a character named Mister Lahey - an abusive psychopath who also happens to father a son that eventually becomes a werewolf.
