John Jameson is a fictional astronaut and former space werewolf featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and a supporting character in the Spider-Man family of comic titles. He first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #1 in March, 1963.

Overview[]

John Jameson is the son of Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson and the late Joan Jameson. He is a former NASA astronaut and one of the last men to walk on the moon. During a lunar landing, Jameson was exposed to a red mineral, which transformed him into a werewolf. Though a villain at first, he eventually came to control his animal instincts and became a cosmic adventurer known as the Stargod. Jameson has since cured himself of his condition and later went on to work as a security chief for the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane. He is the one-time husband of Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk.
