John Henry Moore is a fictional warlock and a central character featured on the FX Network television series American Horror Story. Played by actor Cheyenne Jackson, he appeared in the season eight storyline, "Apocalypse".
Biography[]
A warlock at the Hawthorne School for Exceptional Young Men, he is the only one among his brothers who is skeptic of Michael Langdon being the next alpha since he feels his magic is dark. During the Test of the Seven Wonders, John sees Michael's demonic, pale face and realizes he is the same man Cordelia Goode saw in her premonitions. John plans to go to New Orleans to tell Cordelia, but he is intercepted through the efforts of Ariel Augustus and Miriam Mead with Miriam killing him by slashing his throat.
Myrtle Snow and Bubbles McGee learn of John's murder when Bubbles uses her clairvoyance on Ariel and Baldwin Pennypacker. John is later resurrected by Mallory and joins the coven in their fight against Michael along with Behold Chablis, the only other warlock who had no hand in his murder or destroying the coven. John oversees the execution of Miriam, Ariel and Baldwin who are burned alive at the stake.
John, along with Behold and the students of Hawthorne, are dismembered in an attack on the school orchestrated by Michael.
