John Fernandez is a fictional cameraman and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He appeared in Civil War #1 in July, 2006.
Biography[]
John Fernandez was a middle-aged man who worked as a camera operator for WTNH-Channel 8. He was assigned to a reality television series that followed the New Warriors, who traveled across the country seeking out various super-villains to fight as a means of gaining celebrity status.
John Fernandez accompanied the New Warriors to Stamford, Connecticut where they fought up against four super-villains at their safe house. One of the villains was Robert Hunter, aka Nitro, who had the power of self-detonation. Nitro exploded, killing six-hundred people in the surrounding area, including John Fernandez.
