John Charles Collins is a fictional terrorist and a one-time antagonist featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He appeared in Justice League #1 in May, 1987.
Biography[]
John Collins was a terrorist who led a group who attempted to blow up United Nations Building. It was revealed that it was a dangerous PR stunt to help introduce the Justice League under the orders of Maxwell Lord. The bomb was grafted to his chest and was programed to go off if his heart stopped. When the Justice League capture him he threatens to set off the bomb.
He was later found dead with a self inflicted gunshot to his head. The explosive device failed to detonate because Maxwell Lord had removed the firing pin before he gave it to him. [1]
