Biography[]
Joe Harris was a member of the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Valhalla Base - the headquarters for NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain.
One day, an officer brought Joe a package that he received from the mail room. Opening it, he found a strange push-button device. His colleagues joked with him about it being an activator for a Raquel Welch toy. Joe pushed the button and unwittingly activated a spatial portal.
The remote control had been surreptitiously sent to him by Count Luchino Nefaria, who used the portal to invade Valhalla Base, along with his underlings the Ani-Men. Nefaria released an anesthetic gas throughout the compound, rendering all of the base's staff, including Harris, unconscious. [1]
