One character named Joe was a member of the New York City Police Department. He was colleagues with another police officer named Mike. Joe and Mike witnessed the Impossible Man downing a helicopter, but stood idly by and did nothing. This was part of a strategy concocted by Reed Richards to remove excitement from the Impossible Man's life in the hopes that he would leave Earth and go home. (Fantastic Four 11)
One man named Joe was an assassin and hired gun of Sabretooth. When Sabretooth kidnapped Jeryn Hogarth, his bodyguard, Colleen Wing, came after him. Sabretooth sent Joe and another man named Sid to take Colleen out. When they failed to kill her, Sabretooth expressed his disappointment by killing both men. (Iron Fist 14)
