The Jimmy Olsen robot is a fictional robot featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Superman line of titles and is part of the Silver Age era Earth-One continuity. It first appeared in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen in June, 1962.
Superman created a robotic replica of Jimmy Olsen to fool a criminal doctor, nurse and a Mad Tattoo Artist, thus enabling him to stop him. Superman then gave the robot to Jimmy as a gift for his twenty-first birthday.
When Jimmy came down with the flu, he used the robot to take his place at various chores, including going to work, as well as a date with Lucy Lane. This ended disastrously and nearly cost him his relationship with Lucy. When Jimmy was at full health again, he put the robot in a storage closet.
