Jill Valentine is a fictional law-enforcement officer & zombie killer and one of the main characters featured in the Resident Evil multimedia franchise. She first appeared in the original Resident Evil video game released by Capcom in 1996 where she was voiced by a woman named Inezh. She appeared next in the 1999 video game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis where she was now voiced by Catherine Disher. She appeared in the 2002 Resident Evil "REmake" game where the voice of Inezh was replaced by Heidi Anderson-Swan. Another enhanced reboot of the original game is Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. Though most character voices remained the same as previous games, Jill Valentine's voiced was now replaced by Janet Hsu. She also appeared in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles in 2007, Resident Evil 5 in 2009, and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D in 2011. In all three games, Valentine's voice was played by Patricia Ja Lee. In the film series, Jill Valentine was portrayed by actress Sienna Guillory. She first appeared in Resident Evil: Apocalypse in 2004, and also appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife in 2010, and Resident Evil: Retribution in 2012.
