Jessica Sanders is a minor character featured in the NBC television series Heroes. The character has never made an actual appearance on the show, but was once seen in a family photograph. Jessica is an important character however, as her sister Niki Sanders adopted a split personality and identified her alternate persona as Jessica.
Biography[]
Jessica Sanders was the daugther of Hal Sanders and his wife Kelly Sullivan. She was born in Nevada in 1976. The Sanders adopted a baby girl named Niki and Jessica and she were raised as sisters. Jessica suffered great abuse at the hands of her alcoholic father who would often fly into a rage and throw beer bottles at her. In 1987, Jessica sadly passed away at the age of eleven. Niki was devastated.
As an adult, Niki Sanders developed Multiple Personality Disorder. A second personality emerged, which she named Jessica after her sister. The Jessica persona was an evolved human who possessed superhuman strength. Whenever something threatened the safety of either Niki or her family, the Jessica persona would appear and save the day.
