Jerry Lambert is a fictional police detective and a supporting character featured in the Predator film series by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. Played by actor Bill Paxton, he appeared in the 1990 film Predator 2.
Biography[]
Jerry Lambert was a young and ambitious police detective who came to work for the Los Angeles Police Department in 1997. He was partnered up with Detective Michael R. Harrigan as back-up for the conflagration started between Jamaican and Colombian drug cartels during a heat wave.
Complicating this affair was the unexplained presence of a seemingly invisible killer that was targeting treats from both sides. This was in fact an alien hunter that came to be known as a Predator.
When Lambert and fellow detective Leona Cantrell were on a subway, gang violence broke out, which incited the Predator to take action. Lambert ordered Cantrell to evacuate the pedestrians as he unloaded his weapon into the assailant, which proved to be ineffective. He then picked up a machete used by a gang member, but the Predator overtook him and killed him. Cantrell returned to find Jerry's body strung up from the ceiling of the subway car upside down. The Predator then took the corpse with him and ripped out its head and spine to claim as a trophy.
