Jeri Taylor is an American television producer, writer and consulting editor. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 30th, 1938. Jeri's first professional TV work was scripting two episodes of the sci-fi/comedy series Salvage 1 in 1979. She wrote the episodes "Round Up" and "Dry Spell". She later went on to serve as producer and writer on the 1980s crime-procedural show Quincy M.E. aswell as eleven episodes of the action series Blue Thunder. In the late 1980s, Taylor worked on prime time shows such as Magnum, P.I., In the Heat of the Night and Jake and the Fatman. Beginning in 1990, Taylor turned her sights towards the Star Trek franchise and became a supervising producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation beginning with the season four episode "Family". She also wrote three episodes of the spin-off series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and was co-creator and executive producer of Star Trek: Voyager.

  • In addition to her TV work, Jeri Taylor wrote the novelization for the NextGen two-part episode "Unification". She also wrote two novels in the Star Trek: Voyager series, "Mosaic" and "Pathways".
