Jensen Ackles is an American film and television actor born in Dallas, Texas on March 31st, 1978. His first regular acting work was playing a character named Malcolm in the sit-com Mr. Rhodes. From 1998 to 2000, Ackles had a brief stint on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives playing a character named Eric Brady. His first work in the science fiction genre came in 2001 when he became a recurring character on the second season of James Cameron's hit TV series Dark Angel. Ackles played a transgenic experiment named X5-494, aka, Alec. He appeared in all twenty-two episodes of season two. Jensen's further television credits include twelve episodes of Dawson's Creek, six episodes of the TV drama Still Life and twenty-two episodes of the comic book-inspired series Smallville, playing a high school football coach named Jason Teague. In 2005, Ackles became a feature co-star on the CW Network television series Supernatural, playing the wise-cracking demon hunter Dean Winchester.
