Jennifer Blood: First Blood is an American comic book limited series of the action and crime drama genres. It was published by Dynamite Entertainment and ran for six issues from September, 2012 to February, 2013. The series was written by Mike Carroll with artwork and inks by Igor Vitorino. It was colored by Inlight Studio and lettered by Rob Steen. The series was edited by Joe Rybandt.
Jessica Blute's uncles murdered her father and drove her mother to suicide, which forced Jessie to fake her own death. With a new identity, she distanced herself from her past, found love, raised a family... and then, many years later, she sought out her uncles and delivered brutal and blood-drenched vengeance. But what was the trigger that turned this sweet, loving mother-of-two into a cold-hearted killing machine? This is the story of Jessica Blute's lost years... and how she came to draw first blood.

- The character of Jessica Blute, aka "Jennifer Blood", was created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Adriano Batista. She first appeared in Jennifer Blood #1 in February, 2011 in a story called "War Journal". And she's been kicking ass and taking names ever since.
