Jar Jar Binks is that guy from Star Wars that everybody hates. Seriously. Like... everybody. It's probably because he's so damn goofy and his voice is irritating and he represents a forced attempt at humor in a narrative that really didn't require it. Jar Jar Binks is associated with the prequel film series and first appeared in the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, where he was played by actor Ahmed Best. Best reprised the role of Jar Jar in the film's sequels, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, though in a greatly diminished capacity. The character also made frequent appearances in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series, where he was again voiced by Ahmed Best.
