Biography[]
Jakeem Williams grew up in Keystone City, Kansas. One day he was amidst a group of people who were getting autographs from The Flash, Jay Garrick and Sentinel, Alan Scott. Jay Garrick signed Jakeem's autograph using a special pen that he had borrowed from his friend, Johnny Thunder. Jay had no idea that the pen housed the essence of the Thunderbolt being. He absent-mindedly gave the pen to Jakeem, thinking nothing of it. [1]
While running about complaining about the cold, Jakeem shouted "Say you love Satan". The phonetic pronunciation of "say you" released the Thunderbolt from the pen. [2]
