Jake is apparently a demonic talking goat from some unidentified Hell-like dimension, possibly even Hell itself. When party girl Madisynn King was teleported to Jake's realm through the indirect actions of a stage magician named Donny Blaze, she allegedly encountered this so-called talking goat. When Madisynn's life was threatened by a volcano, Jake offered her an escape route. In exchange however, she had to give him six drops of her blood. Jake apparently kept his word as Madisynn was then transported to multiple dimensions before finally arriving back on Earth. She dropped out of a portal in Kathmandu, Nepal in the home of Sorcerer Supreme Wong while holding what appeared to be a human heart. (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: Is This Not Real Magic?)
