Jacob "Jake" Kane is a fictional military officer and a recurring supporting character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is associated with the Batman and Batwoman line of titles and first appeared in Detective Comics #854 in August, 2009.
Biography[]
Jacob Kane was an officer in the United States Army, and later became a field leader for the United States Special Operations Command. He was married to a woman named Gabi, with whom he had two daughters, Kate and Elizabeth. Jacob had a sister named Martha, who eventually married industrialist Thomas Wayne.
When Kate was an adult, she took on the costumed identity of Batwoman. She remained in Gotham City and her father assisted her in coordinating her actions as a crime-fighter.
