Notes & Trivia[]
- Isis was created by Russell Bates and developed by Marc Richards. It was produced by Norm Prescott and Lou Scheimer of Filmation Associates.
- On many internet web sites, this episode is titled "How to Find a Friend" (which redirects to this page), but the DVD lists the title as just "To Find a Friend".
- This episode is included on disc two of the Secrets of Isis: The Complete Series DVD collection by BCI.
- Executive producer Richard M. Rosenbloom is credited as Dick Rosenbloom in this episode.
- This is the fourth episode of The Secrets of Isis directed by Hollingsworth Morse. He directs eleven episodes of the series in total. He previously directed "Lucky". His next episode is "The Outsider".
- This is Henry Colman's first work in television as a script writer. It is his only work on The Secrets of Isis.
- Andrea Thomas changes into Isis twice in this episode, which is the standard for the series. She uses the powers of Invocation, Transformation, Flight, Remote viewing and Chronal suspension.
- This is the first time in the series that Isis demonstrates the power of stopping time. She also utilizes it in the season two episode, "Now You See It...".
- This is the second time that Isis has used the power of Remote viewing via the Amulet of Hatshepsut. She previously used it in "Fool's Dare".
Story notes[]
- Andrea Thomas celebrates her birthday in this episode. Rick Mason and Cindy Lee bring a cake to her classroom.
- Cindy Lee is once again decked out in her traditional blue overalls. She seems to seldom do laundry.
- Andrea Thomas once again removes her eye glasses in front of Rick Mason and Cindy Lee, which should expose her secret identity as Isis, but Rick and Cindy are clearly clueless. Andrea does this often, so she seems comfortable in the notion that Rick and Cindy will never guess her secret.
