"Epitaph in Grey" is the title to the 235th issue of the first Iron Man ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The story was plotted and scripted by Dave Michelinie as well as Bob Layton. Artist Jackson Guice produced the layouts with Layton on finished art. It was colored by Bob Sharen and lettered by Janice Chiang. The story was edited by Howard Mackie. This issue shipped with an October, 1988 cover date and carries a cover price of .75 cents per copy.

- Iron Man was created by writers Stan Lee & Larry Lieber and artist Don Heck. He first appeared in the first story presented in Tales of Suspense #39 in March, 1963 titled "Iron Man Is Born!".
- This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
- This issue shipped in both direct market edition and newsstand edition. This direct market edition has a picture of Spider-Man's face in place of the UPC code.
