- This is the first appearance of Bakuto. He becomes the primary antagonist on Iron Fist throughout the remainder of season one.
- The character of Bakuto was created by writers Andy Diggle and Antony Johnston and artist Marco Checchetto. He first appeared in Daredevil, Volume 1 #505 in April, 2010.
