Irisa Nyira, generally referred to as just Irisa, is a fictional deputy and one of the main characters featured in the Defiance multimedia franchise. The character first appeared in the Defiance video game by Trion Worlds and was a main character in the Defiance television series on Syfy. The role of Irisa was played by British actress Stephanie Leonidas, who also provided the voice for the character in the video game.
Overview[]
Irisa Nyira was a war orphan who was raised by the human Joshua Nolan. Although Irisa still maintained the aggressive passions of her people, she was also well-educated in the ways of human culture. Despite this however, she frequently found fault with Nolan's actions, questioning the value of his choices on many occasions.
