Invulnerability is the state of being completely resistant to all forms of physical damage. This is an ability possessed by many deities, superheroes and even structures and vehicles.
The DC Comics superhero Superman is invulnerable to nearly all forms of physical attack and can easily shake off the effects of firearms, explosives and energized weaponry. Another superhero of somewhat lesser renown is The Tick who, in addition to being super-strong and super-dense (mentally and physically) boasts to all who will listen about the fact that he is well-nigh invulnerable.
In Marvel Comics, the superhero Wonder Man is likewise virtually invulnerable. This changed however after Williams lost physical cohesion and became a being of pure ionic energy.
