The Invisible Woman is an American science fiction/comedy film. It is the third film in the Invisible Man series and follows The Invisible Man returns, which was released that same year. The film was directed by A. Edward Sutherland and written by Robert Lees, Fred Rinaldo and Gertrude Purcell based on a story by Curt Siodmak and Joe May. It was produced by Universal Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on December 27th, 1940. The film stars Virginia Bruce as the main character, Kitty Carroll. Other stars include John Barrymore, John Howard, Charlie Ruggles and Oskar Homolka.
