Invasion was an American sci-fi television series which aired on Wednesday nights on ABC from September 21st, 2005 to May 17th, 2006 spanning a total of twenty-two episodes. The series took place in Southern Florida and involved a string of mysterious occurrences that take place in a small town in the aftermath of a violent hurricane. Invoking thematic elements from Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the series centered on park ranger Russell Varon and his family and his efforts to uncover the truth about a conspiracy involving water-breathing extraterrestrials creating human clones from the bodies of the dead. The pilot episode was directed by executive producer Thomas Schlamme and written by series creator Shaun Cassidy. It first aired on Wednesday September 21st, 2005.
