"Lights Out" is the second episode of season one of the American sci-fi drama series Invasion. The episode was directed by Lawrence Trilling and written by series creator Shaun Cassidy. It first aired on Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 on ABC. In this episode, Russell Varon discovers a man in a wetsuit named David Paxton near the ranger station who possesses strange wounds similar to that of his brother-in-law Dave Groves. The discovery of the body sparks the interest of Larkin Groves as well as the mysterious Sheriff Tom Underlay. Underlay's wife, Mariel examines the body and finds a bizarre growth protruding from the wound. The sheriff wants to keep everything quiet and pushes for a quarantine of the entire town of Homestead.
