The Invaders is an American science fiction television series created by Larry Cohen. It was produced by Quinn Martin and Quinn Martin Productions and aired on ABC for two seasons from 1967 to 1968, spanning a total of forty-three episodes. The series starred Roy Thinnes as David Vincent - an unassuming man who has the misfortune of playing witness to an alien visitation. Upon discovering that extraterrestrials exist and mean to take over the planet Earth, David Vincent struggles to convince humanity of the truth behind the secret alien invasion.
Season two of The Invaders aired from September 5th, 1967 to March 26th, 1968 totaling twenty-six episodes. The episodes have been collected on the Invaders: The Second Season DVD collection.
With the exception of the two-part "Summit Meeting" episode featured on disc two, each episode of The Invaders is a stand-alone tale featuring actor Roy Thinnes in the role of David Vincent - an architect who discovers that aliens are on Earth with plans of conquest and he must try to warn a skeptical public about the truth behind this silent invasion. Season two introduced actor Kent Smith as Edgar Scoville - a wealthy individual and one of the few who believes Vincent's stories about aliens.
