History[]

An Inhuman comlink is a communications device used by members of the Inhuman race. It serves a function similar to other such devices, but is also noted for its range. It can carry radio waves between communicators from the Earth to the moon. The Inhumans have an excellent mobile service plan with unlimited data and talking, but for some reason, the comlinks do not provide texting capabilities. Which would really be convenient given as how the king of the Inhumans, Black Bolt, is effectively mute due to the nature of his powers. Inhuman comlinks also have a version of a global-positioning systems (GPS), which enables them to be tracked by other computer systems. Most comlinks take the form of a bracelet so they can be worn, but there are also smaller hand-held models which are about the size of an Apple TV remote control.

When the members of the Inhuman Royal Family were forced into exile, the newly crowned king, Maximus ordered Auran of the Inhuman Royal Guard to track them down and kill them. Auran feigned getting into a scuffle in Crystal Amaquelin's apartment, and "lost" her comlink. After she left, Crystal used it to contact her sister, Medusa on Earth. Auran was then able to track Medusa's general whereabouts. [1]

Medusa used her comlink to reach out to her husband, Black Bolt. He placed the comlink over his chest so Medusa could hear his heartbeat, indicating to her that he was safe.

Another exiled member of the royal family, Gorgon, used his comlink to contact Maximus directly, challenging him to come to Earth to find him. Maximus tracked Gorgon's comlink, and sent a team of Royal Guards, as well as a lunatic named Mordis to sanction him.

Awaiting their arrival, Gorgon placed his comlink inside of a bunker, and waited until the royal guards honed in on its location so that his friends and he could ambush them. [2]

An Earth human named Evan Declan used a small hand-held comlink. He was able to carry on a conversation with Maximus from Hawaii all the way to Attilan. Fewer dropped calls! [3]
