The Incredibles is an American computer animated feature film of the family and superhero fantasy genres. It was written and directed by Brad Bird and produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Productions. It was released theatrically in the United States on November 5th, 2004. A sequel film, The Incredibles II, also written and directed by Bird, was released in 2018.
The Incredibles is largely inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Fantastic Four. The film stars the voice talents of Craig T. Nelson as Mr. Fantastic, Holly Hunter as his superhero wife, Elasti-Girl, Spencer Fox as their son Dashiell Parr, and Sarah Vowell as their daughter, Violet Parr. Also starring in the movie is Samuel L. Jackson as family friend and fellow hero Frozone, Brad Bird himself as Edna Mode, and Jason Lee as the film's primary antagonist Syndrome.
