- This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
- According to archivist Nick Caputo on the Grand Comics Database, alterations to the Hulk's face on the cover art illustration were rendered by John Romita. [1]
- A facsimile reprint edition of this issue was published in March, 2020 and carries a cover price of $3.99 per copy (US). It is rated T for Teen and carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority. [2]
- The Wizard Ace edition reprint was published by Gareb Shamus Enterprises, Inc. for Wizard Magazine, and was released in September, 2001. This reprint features an original cover art illustration by Sean Chen and Jimmy Palmiotti.

- Pay close attention to the angry kid in the yellow suit and pointy mask at the end of this issue. You're probably going to see him again.
- The Glenn Talbot who appears in this issue is not actually Glenn Talbot. It is a Russian spy named Gregori Kronski who was surgically altered by the Gremlin to impersonate Talbot and infiltrate the military.
- This is the first appearance of Weapon X, who appears on the last panel of this issue only. He will later become more popularly known by his code-name, Wolverine. For many years, Wolverine's civilian identity was known only as "Logan", until the Wolverine: Origin limited series in 2002, which established his actual birth name as James Howlett.
- This is the first and only known appearance to date of Jasper, who is the owner of a horse ranch.
- This is the first and only known appearance of Hector, who is Jasper's friend.
- The last time that the Hulk stomped his way through Canada was back in Incredible Hulk #161-162.
- This is the second appearance of Paul Cartier, Georges Baptiste, and Marie Cartier. They all appeared last in Incredible Hulk #162.
- "Glenn Talbot" escaped from the Russians back in Incredible Hulk #176.
