"Death in the Family" is the second pilot movie of the superhero fantasy series The Incredible Hulk. This two-hour special was directed by Alan J. Levi with a teleplay written by series creator Kenneth Johnson. The first part of the episode aired on CBS on November 27th, 1977 with part two airing on November 28th, 1977. The series stars Bill Bixby in the role of fugitive scientist Doctor David Bruce Banner with Lou Ferrigno as his monstrous alter ego, the Hulk. The show also stars Jack Colvin as dogged investigative reporter, Jack McGee.

- During the Hulk's fight with the bear, a considerable amount of Lou Ferrigno's makeup comes off. Some of the makeup even ends up on the bear's mouth.
